You and your significant other have been dating now for awhile, and while you have enjoyed many dinner and a movie dates, or trips to the ice cream parlor, you’re looking for a new, exciting and affordable way to spend date night.

Salute to Swing
Travel back to the 40s with the Florida Swing Dancers as they salute in Pops concerts with In the Mood and film and Broadway tunes in Downtown Tampa Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts this Friday, January 15 at 8 pm. Keep some of those dance moves in mind for the next time you and your date are in the mood to dance.

Day at the Park
Looking to spend a relaxing day with your sweetie? Lettuce Lake Regional Park is great for sight-seeing, packing a lunch to enjoy a picnic, canoe rentals and on Saturdays and Sundays, enjoy a free nature trail tour. The park also features a 3,500 foot boardwalk observation tower where visitors can view wildlife or snap their next photo for Instagram.

St. Pete Shuffle
If you want to venture over to St. Petersburg for the evening, make sure you stop into the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club for Friday night St. Pete Shuffle from 7pm – 11pm. Make sure to get dressed up in your favorite vintage attire and play, yes, shuffleboard! Don’t know how? Volunteers are happy to help!

Flamenco Dancing in Ybor
Spice up the traditional dinner date with flamenco dancing at Columbia Restaurant. First time? No worries. For an additional charge, you can watch a 45 minute show to show you how it’s done. Not only will you enjoy the dancing, but the Spanish cuisine, like Paella, is something to look forward to.

Have a Laugh
Who doesn’t like a good laugh every now and then? Hit the Side Splitters Comedy Club, where you and your date can enjoy live stand-up in an intimate setting, while munching on light appetizers and sandwiches. There is a two drink minimum and tickets can be purchased online. See comedian and radio personality, Jim Norton, this weekend from January 14 – 16th.
