Tampa Welcomes Alcohol Delivery App, Drizly

It’s been a really long day at work.

Too many meetings, not enough time for a lunch break, your co-worker didn’t get their part of your assignment done. 5:30 pm hits and your miserable day is over… you just want to head home and plop down on your couch.

If only someone could bring you a nice glass of wine, or an ice cold beer.

With the introduction of the new app, Drizly, now someone can. And for prices comparable to the ABC store, now they will.

With Drizly, purchases can be easily made online or on your mobile device with just a few clicks and your beers, wines and spirits are delivered in under an hour. And the app gives you the same selections as an ABC store would have, so your choices aren’t limited.

Whether you’re in the mood for a Pilsner, Moscato or Mai Tai, Drizly has got you covered. With anywhere from 1,000 to 3,500 selections, compared to competitors 300-400 products  to choose from, you won’t have to worry that you won’t be drinking what you’re really thirsty for.

 

Schedule Deliveries in Advance

For those who plan ahead, Drizly allows users to scheduled deliveries up to 48 hours in advance. Delivery windows can be chosen from a drop-down box at checkout. With the largest retail partner network, deliveries are able to be made easily within 20-40 minutes of placing an order.

Using proprietary identification software, Drizly drivers are able to make safe, compliant deliveries to those who are over 21 years of age.

Send as a Gift

Buying the perfect gifts for family and friends has never been easier. Now, send all the beer, wine and spirits you want for any special occasion. Just choose the gift option displayed on the homepage. From there, you can easily insert the address where you want it delivered and make sure to name the gift recipient.

Once paid, the gift recipient will be notified via email that they are receiving a gift and can select a time that suits them for the gift to be delivered.

Determining Customer Intoxication

The responsibility of determining whether or not to leave alcohol with a customer, based on the state they are in upon arrival, is up to the driver. If the driver withholds a delivery, the customer will still be charged a $20 restocking fee, but will receive a full refund for their purchase.

Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are sometimes charged by Drizly’s retail partner network and vary from city to city. Minimum order requirements also vary, but end up in the $20-$30 range.

How Drizly was Born

Drizly started in 2012 when two friends – Justin Robinson and Nick Rellas got really curious about why they couldn’t have beer delivered. Especially when almost everything else can be delivered today. In a short period of time, the two Boston graduates worked to come up with a delivery system and Drizly was finally born in 2013.
