With Halloween quickly approaching, most of your time is probably spent trying to perfect your costume, deciding what venue or party to crash and working out to account for all of the delicious Halloween candy you will soon be consuming. But don’t worry yourself to death…weekends are to be enjoyed. And Tampa is offering no shortage of things to do this weekend.
Here are some scary good ways to spend yours:
Make a Wish Foundation SOHO Zombie Crawl
For fans of zombies (and there are tons thanks to the success of shows like The Walking Dead) show off your best zombie costume and head to the bars of SOHO on October 17th at 8pm for the Make a Wish Foundation’s SOHO Zombie Crawl, a night of fun, while supporting life threatening illnesses.
Brews by the Bay
The Florida Aquarium transforms on October 16th at 8pm for Brews by the Bay http://www.flaquarium.org/event-calendar/brews-by-the-bay.aspx/, featuring over 100 craft beer samples, live music, delicious food from local restaurants and let’s not forget exhibits from over 20,000 different animals.
TAPTOBERFEST
Like the very popular, Oktoberfest, The Brass Tap does it their way by introducing TAPTOBERFEST on October 17th at 11am featuring samples of world-class beers, as well as delicious light bites like the must-try Sriracha bacon. Get an early start on Saturday before heading out on Saturday night for more weekend fun.
Zedd in Concert
Spend that Saturday night with GRAMMY award-winning artist, Zedd, as he brings his “True Colors Tour” to life at the USF Sun Dome on October 17th at 7:30pm. Special guests include Dillon Francis and Alex Metric.
Sealed with a Kiss
Open Mic Show, Sealed with a Kiss, voted “Best of the Bay” for poetry, is a must-see! Head over to the Inkwell Theatre on October 17th at 8:30pm for snap-worthy poetry, talent and lots of fun.
Viva Tampa Bay — Hispanic Heritage Festival
On Sunday, October 18th, come celebrate Tampa’s Hispanic Heritage Month at Viva Tampa Bay in Centennial Park, Ybor City and enjoy the official presentation of PROCLAMATION by Mayor Bob Buckhorn.
