Urban Kai Brings Stand Up Paddle Boarding to Tampa’s Downtown

We live surrounded by water, so why do we spend so much time on land?

Urban Kai is giving Tampa residents no excuses when it comes to getting out and enjoying the abundance of rivers and bays in the area.

This Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board Shop located along the Hillsborough River offers both the tools and lessons to help lead the adventurous and active to the water.

Urban Kai offers low impact, recreational ways to get in shape and enjoy nature with a variety of Stand Up Paddle Board activities that include fitness classes, private lessons, and adventure tours.

Standing on a board that can range between 9-14 feet, you paddle over bodies of water, and whoever experiences it gets hooked. If you’re looking for an intense core and upper-body workout, this is it. Balancing on the board works your core muscles and paddling hits every muscle through your arms, legs, abdominals and back.  Additionally, exercising outdoors lets you enjoy hours of peace and quiet along with taking in your beautiful surroundings.

Floating on water, you can watch the sunrise or sunset, feel the calm sea breeze and watch amazing marine life pass underneath you.

It is a solid workout that gives you amazing results, peace of mind and a closer connection to nature.

Stand Up Paddle Board Lessons

LARGE PRIVATE GROUP FLAT WATER LESSONS – (minimum 5 paddlers) $49.00 each

SMALL PRIVATE GROUP FLAT WATER LESSONS – (minimum 2 paddlers) $69.00 each

PRIVATE 1-ON-1 FLAT WATER LESSONS – $59.00 each (1 hour)  / $89.00 each (2 hours)

SUP 101 GROUP FLAT WATER LESSONS – $20.00 each (Bring Your Own Board) / $30.00 each (Board Provided)

PRIVATE 1-ON-1 PADDLE SURF LESSONS – $79.00 each (1 hour)

Stand Up Paddle Board Fitness Group Classes

YOGA ON WATER (YOW) – $30 each (board provided)  / $15 each (Bring Your Own Board)

KAI (WATER) FITNESS – $30 each (board provided) / $15 each (bring your own board)

WARRIOR ZEN WORKOUT (LAND & WATER) – $30 each (board provided) / $15 each (bring your own board)

BETTER BALANCE WORKOUT (POWERHOUSE GYM) – PowerHouse Gym Members FREE / $7.50 for non-members

KAI PADDLE ADVENTURE TOURS – $90 Guided 4 hour tour includes equipment, instruction, snacks and lunch / $74.00 3 hour tour (omit lunch)
