Get thirsty and hungry.
South Tampa is gaining an Irish Pub, Tea Café and Breakfast Diner.
Irish 31 –Something a little different is moving into Old Hyde Park Village. An authentic, Irish pub will soon be opening next door to the popular Cinebistro on West Swann Ave. Irish 31, which plans to open early 2011, will offer a full bar and menu as well as live entertainment and an abundant selection of televisions making this new Irish addition an upcoming sports bar and evening entertainment destination. (And they are hiring! Click here for employment information.)
Hooker Tea Company– It’s hard to keep track of what is on the corner of Howard and Platt in SoHo. It seems like every month there is a “Coming Soon” or “Closed” sign hanging in the window. And now the property, most recently occupied by Bric, may finally have a concept that works. Hooker Tea Company, which has a popular St. Pete location, has moved into the location and is now offering an array of high quality teas, beers and free WiFi. Since the location is under a weird hour restriction, maybe Hooker Tea Company has found a way to entertain before the night rush of SoHo hits the street.
First Watch – Late November will bring a new breakfast option to the neighborhood near Hyde Park and SoHo. First Watch, which already has a popular location downtown, will open a new location on Henderson Blvd. (in the same plaza as Fresh Market). Their menu will include healthy breakfast options and fresh made to order meals like egg white omelettes, crepes, carrot cake pancakes and more. The location will also offer complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi.
