A big wave is about to break on the gulf coast, and it’s bringing better dates to the Tampa area. Social dating app Hinge unveils its first Florida launches today, going live in Tampa, as well as Orlando and Miami.
Hinge offers users the promising ideal of “no randos,” in a landscape rife with geolocation-based apps that often feel impersonal. Instead, Hinge opts to connect users with people from their extended social networks, who can be vetted and verified through trusted friend connections.
Hinge launched in February of 2013, is available for both Apple and Android, and is currently in 13 other U.S. cities, including Washington DC, NYC, San Francisco, L.A., Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Denver, Seattle.
They’ve already seen more than 6 million matches, and even a few Hinge-gagements! We certainly can’t wait to try it out.
