Spring has sprung! And while people in most of the country are just starting to put away sweaters, scarves, and boots, we have been enjoying the taste – and fashion – of spring for several weeks.
Spring is one of my favorite times of year. Here is why:
Color, Color, Color
If you have been browsing any of Tampa’s wonderful boutiques and stores lately, you have probably noticed all of the vibrant fashions out there right now. In spring, color can be your best friend. From bright, bold, and fiery to tropical citrus hues and subdued pastels, spring brings a new kind of vibrant glamour on the block.
Spring Cleaning
Now is the time to get into your closet and do some spring cleaning. This makes room to infuse your wardrobe with a burst of spring! And you don’t have to break the bank or be a celebrity to dress like one. I will show you the latest looks and how to wear them, and still keep some money in your fabulous purse.
Accessorize
One of my favorite ways to add to an outfit for spring is with accessories. I like to shop in my own closet and use what I have, adding with key seasonal pieces. You can change your look by simply swapping your accessories.
The scarf is one accessory staple that will give you endless possibilities from season to season. The key is to pay attention to fabric. You want to go with a light linen or silk scarf in a sunny color, as opposed to a heavy knit, wool scarf you would wear on the slopes. Drape it, tie it, loop it, twist it…it’s up to you! Paired with a simple t-shirt or a printed top, some fabulous jewelry, and spring denim in any color, you’re ready to go!
Another item stealing the show this Spring are sandals. Step into style with graphic prints, bright stitching, woven textures, and beading. These details are making their way from wedges to flats and even flip flops. I love seeing the combination of smooth leather with woven and braided textures in a wedge or espadrille.
Now is the perfect time to update your wardrobe and to step into Spring! Have fun with color and keep the season easy breezy.
