St. Patrick’s Day Events
River O’Green Fest – From 10 am – 4 pm downtown’s Curtis Hixon Park will be taken over by live music, food trucks, dancing, craft beer, games, and one GREEN river. Free.
Paint the Channel Green – There will be a lot of green flowing through Tampa as Channelside hosts the dying of the Garison Channel. Live music and events in the courtyard from 1 pm to 8pm. Free.
Ybor City Rough Riders Parade – The green Gasparilla parade starts at 8 pm on 7th Ave. Free. (Ybor’s best parade of the year!)
St. Patty’s Go Green Festival ft. DJ Pauly D – The Hawaiian Village is hosting an all day event featuring live DJ performance. One by some guy from the Jersey Shore. $25-40.
Best Bars for Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day
MacDinton’s Irish Pub (SoHo) – Live music, Irish dancers and bagpipers. Doors open at 11 am. Cover includes an Irish buffet from 11 am – 2 pm. $10 cover.
James Joyce Irish Pub (Ybor) – Just in time for the unveiling of the new location (old Mema’s spot), St. Patrick’s starts at 11 am at James Joyce. This party will feature 50 taps and 100 bottle selections of Irish beers, a huge beer tent, special Irish whiskey menu, live music (starts at 7pm), and no cover. Free.
Four Green Fields (Hyde Park) – This self-proclaimed “only authentic Irish bar in Tampa” lives up to the hype with a day filled with uber-authentic Irish food and music all day. Beer starts at 9 pm. Buffet starts at 11 am. Drinking goes all day. No Cover.
Irish 31 (Hyde Park) – Celebrating not one but two days of St. Patty’s, Irish 31 has live music, polka bands, St. Patrick look-alike contest, and a corn hole tournament with a grand prize of $1,000. To benefit the Mike Alstott Foundation. Tickets start at $10 and go up to $100 which includes all you can drink and eat for two days.
