Tampa Friday Downtown Market

No Excuse Events October 17, 2010 Comments Off

Fall is finally here and so is the return of Tampa’s Downtown Market.

The market – which takes place on Franklin Street between Madison & Zack every Friday from 10am to 2pm – will continue to run through May.

What is for sale? Locally grown and/or produced fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, eggs and milk. Bouquets of roses and sunflowers. Fresh baked breads, bagels and pastas. Homemade soaps, potpourri and folk art. And jewelry, silver and hand cut t-shirts are just a few of the items you will find for sale amidst the dozen or so product vendors at this local downtown market.

And you will find more than just raw materials under the market’s tents. A half a dozen lunch vendors will be on hand serving up ready to eat lunches that include French, Greek and Italian specialties, homemade pierogis, pies and crab cakes, and other organic and delicious dishes and desserts. Click here for a full list of Product and Lunch Vendors.

And Tampa’s Downtown Market is more than a shopping and eating excursion – it’s entertaining. Throughout the season, the Tampa Downtown Markets hosts a variety of events that include live music performances and cooking demonstrations among other free entertainment productions.

So take a new kind of lunch break on Friday and support our local farmers, producers and artisans by enjoying some of the areas best flavors and flares.
